UFC Events Quickly Approaching!!

The countdown to live UFC events is quickly dwindling, the season for beat-downs has begun! With UFC 83 going down in mid April the question on everyone’s mind is how to get good seats? Just watching the televised event is an intense feeling. Could you imagine being there when the crowds roar as skin breaks, bodies slam and sweat pours?

This years lineup is unbelievable: Georges “Rush” St. Pierre faces a little bit of déjà vu against title-stealer Matt “The Terror” Serra in UFC 83 on April 19th at the Centre Bell in Canada. Headliners BJ “The Prodigy” Penn and Sean “Muscle Shark” Sherk will bite each other down as their war of words becomes physical in the appropriately named “Ill Will” match thrown down at UFC 84. UFC 85 begs the question-will Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell freeze against Tito Ortiz-defeater Rashad “Sugar” Evans? It’s anybody’s game as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson brings fire to the ring when he goes up against fan favorite Forrest Griffin in UFC 86. Don’t miss the action! See the outcomes at the live event with UFC 93 Tickets!

UFC Fighter Aldana Drowns Tragically

Mixed martial arts veteran Gilbert Aldana, 29 years old, has drowned in a tragic boating accident in his native Arizona. Aldana drowned in an attempt to retrieve a shirt that had fallen into the water from his boat on Phoenix’ Lake Pleasant.

“Gilbert Aldana was a real fighter and he always gave 100% in every bout he was in,” UFC President Dana White stated. “He will be sorely missed by everyone in the mixed martial arts community and the thoughts and prayers of our organization are with his family and friends.”

Aldana, “The Dangerous One”, was respected as much for his co-operative and affable nature outside the notorious UFC Octagon as he was for his ferociousness inside it. Always prepared to fight out his bouts directly rather than play for time and box clever, Aldana became a quick favorite among UFC crowds, and he will be sadly missed by those who came to admire his courage and grit in the theater he could dominate when occasion demanded. Aldana is survived by a wife and two sons, and was described as "an extremely devoted family man,” by trainer and manager Roland Sarria.
