St. Pierre and Hardy will be a point of interest, but does the Englishman really have what it takes to beat the Montreal mauler they call "Rush"? His fight against Irish-American Marcus Davis at UFC 99 was charged up with pre-fight needling, as Hardy indulged in mind-games that seemed to work. He goaded the Bostonian Davis, mocking Davis' claim of Irishness, saying that his website looked like "a St. Patrick's day gift shop blew up". Hardy won that one, but it is highly doubtlful he'll be feeling so cheeky this time around; St. Pierre is a proper handful and Hardy will doubtless have been fretting and training like crazy. It remains to be seen whether the New Jersey crowd will get behind Hardy at the Prudential Center, but those UFC tickets are going somewhere, and Hardy better hope the tough northeastern town decide they like him better than St. Pierre, because he'll need all the help he can get.
