UFC 113 Montreal. UFC 113 Tickets On Sale!

UFC 113 tickets are selling fast the latest visit of the MMA punchfest to Montreal, Quebec. UFC's third Canadian event to date goes on sale February 20, 2010 and the main event between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua is looking to be a truly bone crunching business! The UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun II schedule consists of a top-class fight card, which includes Paul Daley vs. Josh Koscheck and - wait for it - Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson vs. Matt Mitrione. That's right; Kimbo Slice is back and he's hoping to make up for his disappointment when he failed to win TUF 10 recently. Expect to see the former street-fighter at his very best on May 8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. At the end of the night though, we are all gonna be anticipating the light-heavyweight clash between Machida and Rua, and that fight is going to be something very special.

Their previous fight in Los Angeles at UFC 104 sparked judging controversy in MMA. UFC tickets sold well in LA and everyone was looking forwarfd to Rua dominated the fight and literally took it to Machida throughout, using leg kicks effectively to keep momentum in his favor chased after the champion with persistent leg kicks. Machida skilled counter-attacking enabled him to land the odd point here and there, but most felt that challenger Rua did more than enough to take the fight. The two fighters both had their arms raised in victory at the end of the bout, and then the surprise verdict came through; Machida, the guy who'd been backing off for virtually the entire fight, was adjudged to have won. The crowd weren't happy and showed it with jeering and boos aimed at the judges. Even UFC president Dana White made a public statement to the effect that he believed Rua won the fight.

This is why UFC 113 tickets are that bit special. This is the rematch everyone wanted, and now we're getting it! Dana White said in a recent press conference:

"The first fight between Machida and 'Shogun' was very controversial, I think fans are very excited to see them fight again and find out who the best light heavyweight in the world is," White stated in Thursday's release.
